The Certificate II in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) is available with Intercept Training, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Course Outline :
This course is designed to include Classroom Tuition, Work Experience, Home Study and revision, plus inclusive of a Senior First Aid-Workcover Approved Certificate.

Training Venues :
Tuggerah, Newcastle and Auburn

Duration : Comprehensive course package conducted over a 3 week period

+ Senior First Aid—Certificate—Workcover Approved FA01120
Senior First Aid Course - Workcover Approved FA01120, will be conducted as part of this course. Should you already have your Senior First Aid Certificate or you do not wish to attain this Certificate, you will not need to attend on the First Aid training day of the course. We recommend that you complete the Senior First Aid component of the course if you don't have one, as prospective employers will want to see a First Aid Certificate

Units of Competency
This qualification requires the completion of 3 Core Units and 8 Elective Units = 11 Competency Units.

This course is designed for those who are wishing to enter the Cleaning Profession or wish to 'Specialise' in Commercial Cleaning. Set your sites on becoming a Cleaning Professional !

Cleaners may find themselves performing  the following tasks:

  • operating vacuum cleaners to clean floors, work areas and machinery
  • cleaning, dusting and polishing furniture and fittings
  • sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and polishing floors, shampooing carpets and rugs, and strip waxing and polishing floors
  • cleaning walls and windows
  • cleaning and disinfecting laundry, kitchen, toilet and bathrooms and the fixtures and floors
  • emptying and cleaning ashtrays and waste containers
  • cleaning areas surrounding buildings, such as paths and entrances
  • removing general rubbish or graffiti from office fronts or worksites

Articulation
Upon completion of your course you have opportunity to expand your skills and employability options by completing additional units to achieve a Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations).
